Silver Oaks Cooperative School is an inclusive K-8 independent cooperative school committed to spirited learning, growth and development, outdoor education, and joy. We empower our students to ask insightful questions, explore their world, embrace human differences, and learn to become independent thinkers and doers. Our families and community play a critical role in the children’s education.
Silver Oaks offers student-centered, hands-on education in small classes (max 16), where children explore, learn, and grow in a nurturing environment. We focus on developing a deep understanding of concepts, age appropriate academic rigor, teaching empathy, and encouraging physical movement. With daily outdoor play, weekly art, music, and movement, plus twice-weekly Spanish, our approach fosters creativity, kindness, and joy. Parent involvement is key, and we create an inclusive community where children thrive and cultivate a love of learning.
